Snake eating mouse...Good Idea Gone Bad

Good Ideas Gone Bad
"It was then that the mouse realized that his idea of trying on a snake-head hat was a bad idea."

  By Steve Baker

Yes, sometimes the great ideas that we have to grow our businesses and our careers need a little more thought. Too often we jump into a plan of action because we thought of it so it must be right...right?

Oh, and for any PETA folks out there, this was actually snack time in our back yard today.

Here is the food-chain of events: We have a bird feeder full of seeds which feeds the birds, and the seeds that fall out are eaten by squirrels and mice. And while this mouse was going for the seeds, he became an afternoon snack for the snake that hangs out under our Juniper bushes nearby.

Who knew a few seeds could feed so many?

Perhaps the snake convinced the little guy that his mouth was a cute hat to try on, or perhaps the little guy was happy getting a free meal without much work and wasn’t thinking clearly. It only took an hour for this mouse to be a bump in the middle of the snake's belly.

So even when you think you’re safe and your ideas are sound, remember there are many snakes out there ready to pounce on you, so keep your head on and review your thoughts before taking action.

To Your Success!
