He learned first-hand that the road to success is often paved with failure and he shares his experiences in his speaking engagements and his award winning book PUSHING WATER UPHILL With A Rake; Memoirs of a Successful Failure”, which was honored with two writing awards in the business book category.

Steve is a small business advocate and business advisor with a passion for helping startups grow and go to market. He has successfully led companies in every phase of business cycle from startup to exit in both private and public sectors.

​

Steve creates and directs business development and marketing plans, and has operated companies in such diverse industries as international travel, financial software, franchising, manufacturing, ergonomic products, medical devices, migraine headache treatment, an international medical wellness resort, cyber-security and telepresence immersive technologies.

​

He is a Senior Fellow of the DaVinci Institute, a futurist think tank, and for seven years was director and host of the Startup Junkie Underground, a network group that produces programs to educate, inspire and entertain small businesses to help them succeed.

After spending nearly forty years living in the wonderful mountains of Colorado, Steve now lives in Sun City, Texas where he is an avid poor golfer and pickleball player.
